2K Sports is celebrating the upcoming launch of NHL 2K11, by allowing consumers hand-on game play weeks before the game’s official launch. Traveling throughout the northern United States and Canada, The REAL Hockey Experience on Wii brings the excitement of NHL hockey to fans in a custom-designed NHL 2K11 recreation vehicle rigged with portable video game gear created especially for fans and gamers. The trail of pucks, prizes and playable demos will also feature appearances by NHL stars at select stops throughout the tour.

Winnipeg Manitoba stop: Friday, July 30 and Saturday, July 31 (Travis Zajac of the New Jersey Devils will be onsite on July 31 only)
1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Wal-Mart, Unit #54-1225 St. Mary’s Road, Winnipeg on Friday, July 30.

There will also be a stop in Ottawa and Toronto, so stay tuned for more news about those stops and which NHL star will be on hand.

Microsoft sure is busy today with the announcement of a new Xbox 360 4GB console with a “a sleek new design” for only $199.99 CAD/USD. Netflix has sent word today that they will be launching a Streaming Only service of Netflix to Canada later this year. While no platforms were mentioned in the press release, we wonder which video game consoles it will be on. Most likely the Xbox 360 as there is already Netflix in the United States for that and Windows PC. The only oddity we found was the service will only be available in English at first, but that shouldn’t be a problem since you wouldn’t want to watch the latest action flick dubbed in French would you?

While we normally don’t post random youtube links on Gametactics, this one caught our eye which claims that you can get an old lady to give you one heck of an earful and then she instantly kills you. The video claims it is from the PlayStation 3 version and is in the Underpass level.

There is only one comment that says say they managed to get it to work. We are pretty much calling this a faked video, pretty well done though.

Edit from Malcolm Owen: I don’t think this is a real bug. A quick search on Youtube turns up empty except for this video, the old lady that appears in-game shares her accent with the video makers, we can’t quite see whom gets the claim for the kill, and the video ends with a promotional URL featuring the word “film”. I have serious doubts that this is real…
